Every semester without fail brings the stress of midterms. To help students feel some relief from the pressures of academic testing, College of Marin hosts Midterm Rush. This event is a great way to provide a much-needed mental health break. Midterm Rush is held each semester during community hour. The event gives out delicious free foods such as pizza, snacks, and treats. Bracelet making is a fun activity that allows students to relax and make a special keepsake while socializing with friends. The highlight of the event is the dogs that are brought by the Marin Humane Society. Students are encouraged to interact with the dogs to help alleviate stress. Additionally, free school supplies are given out, including notebooks and scantrons. The Midterm Rush event this year was a hit, so be sure to come next semester to play with dogs, have lunch, and make friends. School is very important, but so is your mental health. Be sure to come to the Midterm Rush each semester to reduce your midterm stress.
