Gloria Hubbell Corena

Founding Editor-in-Chief

Gloria leads the launch and editorial direction of The Mariner Times. As president of the Journalism Club, she oversees publication planning, reporting, and editing, guiding the newspaper through its founding year.

Contributors

Alyssa Martinez is a single mother returning to school to pursue a degree in the fine arts. She serves as vice president of the Journalism Club and is a passionate artist and activist, hoping to reach a wide audience by sharing diverse voices and experiences.

Lizzie Alfaro is a first-year student at COM studying political science. She is interested in immigration policy, civic engagement, and community journalism, and hopes to highlight the experiences of local communities through her reporting. 

Camille Albert is a longtime College of Marin student who brings deep familiarity with campus life and events. She contributes to The Mariner Times through event coverage and photography, capturing moments that reflect the campus community.

Sabrina Wallace is a new student at College of Marin. She is looking forward to contributing to The Mariner Times and reporting on relevant student issues. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, spending time in nature, and crafting.

Lou Maunupau is a contributing writer for The Mariner Times and is a dedicated father and community member with a strong work ethic and interest in storytelling. He brings lived experience and a thoughtful voice to reporting, with upcoming work focused on real-life events and personal perspective.

Kai McCarthy is a contributing writer for The Mariner Times and is a student at College of Marin. New to the Journalism Club, she brings fresh perspective, curiosity, and enthusiasm for storytelling.
