As the final weeks of the spring semester wind down, the campus is filled with a bittersweet energy. This issue marks our last regular publication of the term, a time to celebrate the journeys of the students who have helped shape our community before they head off to their next great adventures.
To our graduating seniors: Congratulations! You’ve navigated years of rigorous coursework, late-night study sessions, and the unique challenges of student life. Whether you are heading straight into the workforce or taking a well-deserved break, your impact on this campus remains.
To our transfer students: We wish you the best of luck at your new institutions. Moving on to a four-year university or a specialized program is a massive milestone. We hope the foundation you built here serves you well as you step onto new campuses this fall.
What’s Next for the Newsroom?
While the hallways may quiet down for a few months, our pens aren’t going dry just yet. Keep an eye out for a special summer edition of the paper, where we’ll continue to highlight local stories and campus updates throughout the break.
We will officially return to full production this fall semester, and we want you to be a part of it.
Join the Story
A student newspaper is only as strong as the voices behind it. Whether you’re a returning student or a newcomer looking to make your mark, there is a place for you here. We are looking for:
- Writers: Cover campus news, opinion pieces, or local events.
- Photographers: Capture the visual pulse of student life.
- Contributors: Have a one-off story or a creative project? We want to see it.
- Would you like your club to be covered? A team or player featured? Contact us!
The journalism club is a space to build your portfolio, find your voice, and be at the center of the campus conversation. No prior experience is necessary, just a curiosity about the world around you. We invite you to be a part of history at The Mariner Times, College of Marin’s first publication in ten years.
To our departing students: Thank you for being part of our story. To those returning: We’ll see you in the Fall. Have a safe and inspired summer!
